What does Pixel Pitch in LED Tickers mean?

Pixel Pitch or “Dot Pitch” is the distance between each 2 consecutive led’s either sides. It is measured in millimetres. The pixel pitch in a led stock ticker usually defines the characteristics of the ticker display. Smaller the distance between 2 led’s, higher will be the viewing resolution hence the led ticker will be high resolution and a more premium one. Hence, smaller is the pixel pitch people can view the led ticker more closely and less distance is required. By smaller pixel pitch, we mean that the number of pixels in a particular led module is in higher quantity. This makes the led ticker tape display more premium in feel thereby increasing the costs associated with it including the maintenance.

In Outdoor ticker displays, the pitch is usually bigger hence the viewing distance is a lot far and greater threby enabling us to view the ticker display more clearly. The number of pixels present in the led modules are less in number since the distance between the led’s is increased and larger as compared to the indoor ticker tapes.
